Job description

Great Many is the modern hair growth studio — where to go for your hair to grow. Hair loss is personal: it affects people across gender, age, and background, and for most, it impacts confidence, identity, and is something they've quietly struggled with for years, often alone.

We built Great Many to close a gap that’s always existed. On one side: a sea of ineffective products, impersonal telemedicine, and expensive offices that treat hair loss as an afterthought. On the other: a place designed to do one thing exceptionally well. Expert clinicians. Real conversation and compassion. Clinically-backed treatments. Access to prescriptions, supplements, and the at-home, day-to-day support that keeps it We are high-touch, hospitality-forward hair growth without surgery or downtime – just results.

Currently, we are three studios in — New York, Washington DC, and Atlanta — with more in development as we scale toward a national footprint. We’re venture-backed If you've spent your career in startups and want to bring that operating discipline to a category that's personal, physical, and finally getting the marketing sophistication it deserves — this is that chance.

THE ROLE

This person owns growth at Great Many, start to finish, online and offline. The whole path from someone's first impression of us to the day they've been a client for two years.

Hair loss solutions aren't bought on impulse. Most of our clients sat with the decision for a year or more before they ever filled out a form. Whoever takes this needs to understand that kind of decision-making as well as they understand an ads manager or lifecycle flows.

You're inheriting what we built ourselves, without anyone dedicated to marketing until now. Some of it is solid and should stay exactly as it is. Some of it is held together by habit. Part of the job is knowing the difference. Brand, creative production, and partnerships will remain with founders –everything measurable in between is yours. You will have cross-functional support from the Co-Founders, Engineers, People/Talent and the field teams.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN Before the customer know us

You’ll fully own paid media strategy, budget, and execution. You set the testing agenda and brief creative needs, optimize existing channels and test new ones.

The moment the customer land

Every landing page, quiz, and booking flow on our website is yours to build and rebuild. You'll know when someone's ready to book right now, and when they need one more piece of reassurance first, a before-and-after, a plain explanation of what PRP actually involves. Getting that moment right is most of the job.

The gap between interest and action

A lead is nothing until someone's sitting across from a clinician or speaking on the phone with one of our specialists. You own how fast our phone team calls, what they say, and what happens if someone doesn't pick up the first time. This is where most businesses quietly lose people.

After the customer book, and after they leave

Welcome series, pre-consultation nurture, what we send after a first treatment, what we send if someone's gone quiet for two months, and the digital side of referral, what we send someone the moment they've told a friend about us. Our full lifecycle marketing engine is yours end to end: strategy, segmentation, creation..

The long middle

Hair growth takes months, and the waiting is the hardest part for a client. This is retention work: you build what keeps someone engaged between their second visit and their tenth, in the studio and outside it.

When we open a new door

Wherever comes next: you own getting a new studio out of the gate stronger than the last. Local search and our Google listing dialed in from day one, a launch offer that gets people in the door, paid media targeted to that neighborhood before the paint's dry. A studio's first few months set the tone for years.

Beyond the ad account

We want someone who will think creatively about new channels, new opportunities, and new ways to grow the brand, whether online or offline.

Keeping score
  • You build the dashboards and tell us plainly what's working and what's burning money, even when the thing that's not working was your idea.
  • Four numbers matter most:
  • Customer Acquisition: How many new clients we bring in, across every studio, and whether that number is actually growing.
  • CAC: What it costs us to acquire a client, blended across channels, trending down because you got smarter, not just because we spent less.
  • Conversion: The rate at which a lead becomes a booked, completed consult, our single most important conversion event, and everything downstream of it.
  • Retention: How many clients complete a full treatment plan, come back for maintenance, and stay with us over time.
WHO YOU ARE
  • You've run both the acquisition side and the retention/lifecycle side of a business.
  • You know Meta and Google cold, and ideally you've spent real money on Reddit, TikTok, or other platforms too, not just experimented with them.
  • You've briefed and pushed an agency, and you know the difference between creative that looks nice and creative that actually converts.
  • You've built your own landing pages and quizzes, by hand, with no-code tools, or with AI doing the heavy lifting. You don't wait around for a developer to ship it.
  • You've worked somewhere where the sale was an appointment, not a cart. Extra credit if what you sold was something people felt nervous or embarrassed about, hair, fertility, weight, skin, hearing, dental, that kind of thing.
  • You've helped open a new location or launch a new market before, or you understand instinctively what that first ninety days needs.
  • You know how to market inside a clinical category without slowing down or promising something we can't back up.
  • You've worked next to a sales or phone team, not just handed them a spreadsheet and moved on to the next campaign.
  • You write a text or an email that sounds like a person wrote it, because you are one.
  • You run real A/B tests and read real cohort data. You don't just eyeball a dashboard once a month.
  • Prioritization. You can name the two or three things that will actually move the number this month, and you don't let yourself get pulled into the other fourteen that won't.
  • Speed. You'd rather be live and slightly wrong than perfect and two weeks late. You fix it in flight.
  • You use AI to move faster: a first draft of a landing page, a first pass on cohort analysis, a rough cut of an email. You're not precious about doing everything by hand, but you always know when the output isn't good enough yet.
  • How you manage people and money. Agencies, budget, your own time, all of it gets treated like it's scarce, because it is. No spend running on autopilot, no vendor relationship kept alive out of habit.
  • Outcomes over activity. A campaign that looked busy but didn't move bookings is a failure, full stop, no matter how much work went into it.
DETAILS
  • Meaningful equity ownership
  • Flexible PTO
  • Great Many Products & Services Discounts

The role is a remote role (NYC-preferred), based in the US.

Great Many is committed to bringing together individuals from different backgrounds and perspectives. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive, feel a sense of belonging, and do great work together. As an equal opportunity employer, we prohibit any unlawful discrimination against a job applicant on the basis of their race, color, religion, veteran status, sex, parental status, gender identity or expression, transgender status, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability or genetic information. We respect the laws enforced by the EEOC and are dedicated to going above and beyond in fostering diversity across our company.

What Great Many does

We are a modern hair growth studio for men and women — the first of its kind to blend hospitality with expert medical care. Our studios bring together science-backed treatments, proven prescriptions and supplements, and targeted hair and scalp care, all under one roof to help people of all ages and backgrounds tackle an age-old issue.

Mission

Where you go when you want your hair to grow.
