Cold Head Machine Operator
Location: Plymouth, MI Shift: 1st (6am-2pm) M-F Pay: $22-30/hr
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Cold Head Machine Operator to join our team in Plymouth, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us produce high-quality components through precision manufacturing in our Cold Heading department.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Cold Head Machine Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Operating SACMA header machines: Running production equipment to form and shape parts according to specifications.
  • Quality inspection & measurements: Using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Tooling & blueprint interpretation: Reading blueprints, changing tooling, and adjusting materials to support accurate and efficient production runs.
In addition, you will be responsible for following established production procedures, maintaining safety standards, and supporting inventory control and stock management within the department.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience required
  • Previous header operator experience preferred
  • Experience with automated sorting or inspection equipment
  • Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
  • Forklift experience required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills:
  • Blueprint reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production
  • Mechanical aptitude & troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to support equipment setup and minor adjustments
  • Measurement & quality control: Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to maintain high-quality standards
  • Technical proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
