The Head of Prism Operations leads a distributed, technically sophisticated team responsible for delivering Clearwater's Prism product to clients. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of client reporting, data engineering, and people management. This person will own client escalations, drive delivery excellence, and be a key partner to sales and product as Prism scales.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a distributed team of approximately 15 engineers, analysts, and delivery specialists across Boise, Edinburgh, and India

  • Owns end-to-end delivery of Prism implementations, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction

  • Partners with Sales to scope, support, and close new Prism opportunities

  • Collaborates with Product Management to surface client feedback, prioritize enhancements, and improve product maturity

  • Manages team performance through regular 1-on-1s, goal setting, and career development

  • Establishes and monitors project and delivery metrics; implements process improvements to reduce client escalation frequency

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and query development for reporting and data analysis

  • Experience with client reporting platforms and building production-grade reports

  • Strong client-facing communication skills, including comfort managing escalations at senior levels

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop distributed, cross-functional teams

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills in high-pressure, client-impacting situations

  • Ability to operate effectively in early-stage or evolving product environments

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with financial data, investment accounting, or client reporting in the asset management or fintech space

  • Experience supporting pre-sales or solutioning conversations alongside a sales team

  • Background in data migration, systems integration, or product delivery at scale

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field; advanced degree a plus

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, technical delivery, or client-facing program management

  • 3+ years of people management experience, preferably leading teams of 10 or more
