Job description

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Maintains and cares for hospital grounds and performs general outside maintenance duties.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Listed below is an outline of the major duties and responsibilities that you will be required to perform. As the Groundskeeper, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out your assigned duties. Even though your job description is broad, every effort has been made to make this outline as complete as possible. However, we must emphasize that you may be required to perform other related duties and activities as directed by the Supervisor/Department head.
  • Pick up litter in parking lots, around buildings and other assigned areas.
  • Assists in keeping flower beds sprinkled and minor landscaping projects when needed.
  • Empties trash cans outside of buildings (in assigned areas).
  • Keeps all assigned equipment clean and in working condition.
  • Assists in keeping assigned vehicles clean.
  • Responsible for power washing/scrubbing assigned areas.
  • Assists in special projects per Administration.
  • Deliver materials when needed.
  • Compliance with the policies and procedures of the Willis Knighton Health Code of Conduct and service quality standards; patient safety and quality initiatives as appropriate for job description; WKH policy regarding transmission-based precautions.
