Job description

Are you looking to work outside?  Would you like to work with a lake view?  Do you know a thing-or-two about boats, canoes, and kayaks?  Then our Waterfront/Groundskeeper position might be just right for you!  Our Groundskeepers are responsible for maintenance of our waterfront areas including docks, beaches, and lounge chairs, as well as maintaining and providing basic assistance to our guests in using our boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddle-boards.  Groundskeepers also assist with light maintenance tasks, maintaining our walking trails and disc golf course, as well as helping us create our quintessential Migis wood stacks! Morning (6:30 am to 2:30 pm) and Afternoon (10 am to 6 pm) shifts available.  This has been a great first job for local applicants, which has lead to growth within our Resort!

On Site Housing available for qualified candidates!

Location: Migis Lodge on Sebago Lake, Casco, ME
Hours: Full-time Seasonal; typical shifts run 6:30am to 2:30pm or 10am to 6pm
Compensation: $16 to $17 an hour + 7% of wages incentive payment. 
Seasonal Position: ASAP - End of October
Start date: August or Early September

Experience: Outgoing personality, desire to work outdoors, comfort working around the boats and the water.

Position Summary:

Contribute to the overall success of Migis Lodge by attending to the waterfront, lawns, and other grounds and amenities under the supervision and coordination of the Head of Maintenance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, well-groomed waterfront ensuring the upkeep of watercraft, recreational equipment, lawn furniture, and other associated amenities
  • Communicate any maintenance or operational issues regarding waterfront, lawn furniture, or other amenities clearly and concisely to the Head of maintenance
  • Ensure all lawns and grass areas are properly manicured in a timely manner as to present the least amount of disruption to guest use as possible
  • Responsible for the condition and periodic maintenance of all tools and equipment used in maintaining waterfront and all grounds
  • Attend to other maintenance issues and projects as directed by the Head of Maintenance
  • Ensure safe use of grounds-keeping equipment by using all required safety equipment and protective clothing


  • Job Qualifications:
  • Must be of age to legally operate lawn maintenance equipment under State of Maine law
  • Must be able to maintain a positive work ethic and energy
  • Must be able to communicate information clearly and follow directions
