Secondary Teacher/Head Football Coach
Ferriday High School is now accepting applications for the position of Secondary Teacher/Head Football Coach.
Position Overview
The Secondary Teacher/Head Football Coach will lead a high-energy, student-centered program focused on athletic success, academic achievement, and character development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to building a winning culture both on and off the field.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must hold or be eligible to hold a Louisiana teaching certificate

Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Ability to use class time for teaching designed subject matter as outlined by Board approved Program Structure, Curriculum Guides, and/or policies
  • Ability to maintain an atmosphere in the class conducive to learning
  • Ability to use a variety of curriculum materials and techniques to stimulate learning
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally
  • Commitment to program-building with an emphasis on discipline, academics, and culture

  • Experience working in diverse, high-energy school environments
