Assistant Tackle Football Coach
Assist the Head Football Coach in planning and conducting daily practices, drills, and conditioning sessions, preparing players for interscholastic competition through structured practices and skill development, monitoring student-athlete eligibility, including academic requirements and required athletic documentation.
Teach football fundamentals, position-specific techniques, game strategies, and proper tackling and blocking techniques appropriate for middle school student-athletes.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, locker room activities, and other team-related events.
Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes by enforcing proper football techniques, equipment usage, and concussion awareness protocols.
Encourage academic success and promote responsibility both in the classroom and on field.
Foster teamwork, leadership, discipline, integrity, respect, and positive sportsmanship among student-athletes.
Assist with game-day preparation, including warm-ups, equipment setup, sideline organization, and post-game responsibilities.
Help prepare practice fields and game facilities before activities and ensure equipment is properly secured afterward.
Communicate effectively with the Head Football Coach regarding player development, team needs, injuries, and discipline concerns.
Support positive communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director.
Maintain accurate attendance records, equipment inventories, and other assigned team documentation.
Ensure compliance with district policies, school procedures, conference regulations, and applicable athletic association rules.
Attend coach meetings, professional development sessions, and required district athletic trainings.
Supervise student-athletes until they are released to a parent or guardian.
