Middle School Head Boys Basketball Coach
2026-2027 Season
Independence Local Schools in Cuyahoga County is seeking a Middle School Head Boys Basketball Coach for Independence Middle School. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required.  Must be organized, hard-working, and demonstrate a strong desire to help build the middle school basketball program in alignment with the high school varsity program.
The Middle School Head Basketball Coach will oversee all phases of the basketball program, including player development, youth basketball involvement, and program culture.  In collaboration with the high school varsity staff, the Middle School Head Basketball Coach will oversee all phases of the basketball program, including, but not limited to, player development, monitoring academic success, community relations, youth basketball involvement, and equipment inventory.








The successful candidate will provide leadership to the team that achieves academic and athletic success on a consistent basis. Monitors academic progress; develops training programs that are safe and effective for student-athletes; schedules games and practices in accordance with school policies.
Employment is pursuant upon appropriate background checks and the obtainment of proper CPR, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion Management Training, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Pupil Activity Supervision Licensure from the Ohio Department of Education.
