Job description

Exeter Hospital is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their growing community-based practice in scenic Exeter, New Hampshire. This role offers a blend of autonomy and team collaboration within a medically directed site, fostering a collegial environment. The position provides an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking a balanced lifestyle with access to outdoor activities and notable schools, all within an hour of Boston and Portland.

Practice Info

  • Community-based practice at Exeter Hospital, a Level 3 trauma center
  • Medically directed site with autonomy and a team approach
  • Anesthesiologists work in a care-team model
  • Mix of solo cases and supervising cases
  • Case assignments include general surgery, ortho, endo, ENT, GYN, labor and delivery, ophthalmology, urology, vascular, plastics, healthy peds, dental
  • No head/hearts or chronic pain cases

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
  • Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
  • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
  • Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
