Job description

Robert Half Technology is seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead a large-scale Workday Financials transformation for a client in the healthcare industry. This individual will serve as the client-side program lead, partnering with executive leadership, Finance, IT, Operations, and Workday Systems Integrator (SI) to ensure successful implementation from planning through go-live.


Duration: Long-term contract

Location: Hybrid 2-3 days onsite in Bellevue, Washington  

Pay rate: between $75-$85/hourly (W2 or 1099)


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the client-side delivery of a Workday Financials implementation.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and governance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client and the Workday Systems Integrator (SI).
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, IT, Operations, and executive leadership.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, executive communication, and project reporting.
  • Lead organizational change management, user readiness, training, and adoption efforts.
  • Support implementation activities across Workday Financials modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Asset Management, Planning & Budgeting, Inventory, and Cash Management.
  • Ensure milestones, deliverables, and implementation objectives are achieved on time and within scope. 
  • 5+ years of experience leading Workday Financials implementations.
  • Experience serving as a Project Manager or Program Manager for at least one full-cycle Workday Financials implementation.
  • Experience partnering directly with Workday Systems Integrators (SI).
  • 8+ years of enterprise Project or Program Management experience.
  • Proven experience leading ERP or Finance transformation initiatives.
  • Strong organizational change management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading multiple Workday Financials implementations.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • PMP, PgMP, Prosci, or other relevant project management/change management certifications.
