Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading a complex Oracle Fusion business transformation program that modernizes core enterprise processes across modules. This role will manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including planning, design, configuration, testing, change readiness, deployment, stabilization, and post-go-live support. The Project Manager will work closely with business leaders, functional process owners, IT teams, and a system integration (SI) vendor to ensure scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes are effectively managed.The successful candidate will bring strong project leadership, executive communication, vendor governance, and business transformation experience to drive alignment, accountability, and measurable value from the Oracle Fusion implementation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Lead the planning and execution of an Oracle Fusion business transformation program across workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, budgets, resource plans, RAID logs, decision logs, and executive status reporting for the transformation program.
  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, success measures, and business outcomes in partnership with executive sponsors, business process owners, IT leaders, and the SI vendor.
  • Coordinate cross-functional business and IT teams to ensure clear ownership, timely decision-making, and alignment across process design, data, integrations, security, reporting, testing, training, and deployment activities.
  • Identify and manage cross-workstream dependencies, risks, issues, scope changes, and escalations to keep the program on schedule and aligned with business priorities.

Operational Management:

  • Manage day-to-day program execution for the Oracle Fusion transformation, ensuring delivery teams remain aligned to approved scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and business value objectives.
  • Serve as the primary project coordination point between business leaders, functional workstream leads, IT application teams, technical teams, data owners, change management resources, and the SI vendor.
  • Establish and manage operating rhythms, including workstream meetings, design reviews, testing checkpoints, readiness reviews, steering committee updates, and escalation forums.
  • Provide governance over the SI vendor by managing deliverables, milestones, resource commitments, issue resolution, quality of work products, and adherence to contractual expectations.
  • Partner with business process owners to validate future-state process designs, confirm solution fit, support key decisions, and ensure Oracle Fusion capabilities are adopted in a way that supports enterprise business transformation.
  • Oversee integrated testing activities, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, remediation tracking, cutover planning, and deployment readiness.
  • Manage resource utilization, change requests, and vendor performance metrics while providing transparent reporting on program health, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Ensure program documentation is complete, auditable, and maintained in centralized repositories, including project plans, design decisions, test evidence, cutover plans, training materials, and support transition documents.

Critical Skills:

  • Strong project and program management skills with experience leading complex ERP or Oracle Fusion implementation programs.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion business processes and implementation activities across modules.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage SI vendors, hold delivery partners accountable, and ensure vendor work products meet business, technical, quality, and timeline expectations.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear status updates, decision materials, risk summaries, and escalation recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with business leaders, process owners, IT teams, and external partners to drive alignment and decisions.
  • Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, testing progress, and deployment readiness in a fast-paced transformation environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate multiple workstreams while maintaining clear accountability and delivery discipline.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing enterprise technology projects, with demonstrated experience leading ERP, Oracle Fusion, or large-scale business transformation initiatives across one or more modules.
  • Experience managing an ERP system integration (SI) vendor or external consulting partner for an end-to-end implementation.
  • Experience working directly with business leaders and process owners to align project delivery with business priorities, operating model changes, process standardization, and adoption goals.
  • Experience in manufacturing, plant operations, commercial products, finance, supply chain, or enterprise operations is preferred.
  • PMI, PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certifications are preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar planning and delivery management tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of ERP transformation delivery methods, including requirements validation, solution design, configuration, data conversion, integrations, testing, cutover, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Ability to understand and connect cross-functional business processes across modules.
  • Strong understanding of governance practices for scope control, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, decision management, change control, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, design reviews, readiness sessions, and stakeholder alignment meetings with business and technology leaders.
  • Strong vendor management skills, including tracking SI deliverables, validating completion criteria, managing escalations, and ensuring accountability for outcomes.
  • Ability to translate complex project, process, and system information into concise communications for business leaders, steering committees, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and change leadership skills to support adoption of standardized Oracle Fusion processes and new ways of working.
