Cardiovascular Logistics (CVL), a premier cardiovascular physician management organization, is seeking a Head of Business Development to join our leadership team.

In this executive role, you will drive the development and execution of strategic growth initiatives that expand CVL's footprint and strengthen our market position. You will lead business development efforts across mergers and acquisitions, physician practice partnerships, de novo expansion, strategic affiliations, and other high-impact growth opportunities.

SUMMARY:

The Head of Business Development (“HBD”), is an executive management position responsible for development of new business opportunities for the benefit of CVL. The HBD will lead business development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, physician practice partnerships, de novo expansion, strategic affiliations and other growth initiatives.

The HBD will partner closely with the CVL executive team and physician leadership to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and integrate opportunities that accelerate growth and create enterprise value. This executive will play a critical role in positioning the organization as the premier cardiovascular management platform.

Growth Strategy & Corporate Development

  • Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy aligned with the organization's clinical, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition, affiliation, joint venture, and partnership opportunities.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of strategic growth opportunities.
  • Conduct market assessments, competitive analyses, and geographic expansion planning.
  • Present growth opportunities and recommendations to executive leadership, Board of Directors, and financial partners.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Lead all aspects of merger and acquisition activity, including sourcing, evaluation, valuation support, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal and external advisors, including legal, financial, and consulting partners.
  • Develop transaction business cases and investment theses.
  • Support post-acquisition integration planning and execution to achieve targeted synergies and performance outcomes.

Physician Partnership Development

  • Cultivate strong relationships with cardiologists, vascular specialists, electrophysiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other cardiovascular providers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and ambassador for prospective physician partners.

Strategic Services Expansion

  • Partner with, and support, operations, finance and other CVL business partners in identifying and executing on opportunities to launch new and enhance/optimize existing service lines.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and emerging market trends to support long-term growth.

Investor Relations Support

  • Partner with the financial partner and executive team on value creation initiatives.
  • Provide updates regarding development pipeline, transaction activity, and growth performance.
  • Support board presentations, investor discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Contribute to preparation for refinancing, recapitalization, or future liquidity events.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare development, corporate development, sponsor-backed healthcare services, healthcare consulting, investment banking, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing, negotiating, and executing healthcare transactions.
  • Experience working with physician practices and provider organizations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, provider economics, and value-based care trends.
  • Exceptional financial, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Beneficial

  • Prior experience in cardiovascular services, physician practice management, multi-site healthcare services, surgery centers, or specialty healthcare platforms.
  • Track record of leading acquisition integration efforts and enterprise value creation initiatives.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Finance, or related field.
  • Reside in the greater Nashville, Tennessee area.
