Haven Homes are residential properties or communities designed to provide safe, comfortable, and supportive living environments, often with a focus on wellness, community, and security. These homes may cater to various needs, such as independent living, assisted living, or specialized care, depending on the residents they serve. Haven Homes are typically managed by organizations that prioritize quality of life and offer amenities or services that support residents' well-being. They are popular among seniors, individuals seeking supportive housing, or those wanting a sense of community. The term 'Haven Homes' can refer to a specific brand, facility, or a general concept of nurturing living spaces.

Familiarity with property management software (such as AppFolio or Yardi), budgeting tools, and maintenance management systems is essential. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills help you handle tenant relations and coordinate with maintenance and leasing teams. These capabilities ensure that properties are well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and operational goals are consistently met.

Our vision is to build 1,000+ homes per year by becoming the finest custom home builder in the U.S.A.

Driven to Succeed? You'll Thrive at Brown Haven Homes.
As Brown Haven grows, so does the number of land and loan closings running through our finance team at any given time. The Closing Coordinator/Accountant keeps those closings on track by coordinating with attorneys, lenders, and title companies, reviewing HUDs, and making sure every closing package and deadline is handled accurately and on time. You'll also handle the accounting side of closings, including recording entries and supporting balance sheet reconciliations tied to the transactions. It's a great fit for someone who's organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable keeping a lot of moving pieces on track at once.
What We're Looking For:
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented. Closings involve a lot of moving parts and deadlines, and you keep track of all of them.
  • Reliable and Accountable. People can count on you to follow through on what you take on.
  • Positive and Collaborative. A genuine team player who works well with attorneys, lenders, title companies, and vendors, and brings encouraging energy through busy stretches.
  • You track critical dates ahead of time and catch potential delays before they become problems.
  • Clear Communicator. You coordinate confidently across many external parties and keep everyone on the same page.

Playbook for Success:
  • Administer closings. Own all aspects of administering closings - whether land or financing closings.
  • Coordinate closing packages. Work with attorneys and lenders to prepare and maintain closing packages.
  • Coordinate earnest money deposits. Work with attorneys and title companies to send earnest money deposits.
  • Track deal timelines. Monitor timelines and critical dates across all active transactions.
  • Record closing entries. Record journal entries related to closings in the accounting system as needed.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations. Assist the Head of Finance with reconciliations related to these transactions.

Your Competitive Edge:
