The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading products for deliveries while maintaining full compliance with DOT and company safety standards. This role is critical to our customer experience and public reputation. Drivers serve as ambassadors of Haun Welding Supply and are expected to consistently demonstrate our core values of being helpful, humble, honest, and heart-driven in every interaction. What You'll Do
  • Safely load and unload delivery trucks in accordance with company procedures and DOT regulations
  • Perform deliveries following assigned routes and schedules both local and cross-border
  • Pull customer orders, branch transfers, and assist with receiving and stocking new product
  • Maintain delivery vehicles, cargo areas, and required documentation in a clean, accurate, and orderly condition
  • Conduct and document required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Immediately report safety concerns, vehicle damage, incidents, or compliance issues to management
  • Manage routes efficiently while prioritizing safety, accuracy, and customer expectations
  • Comply with all applicable DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, company safety policies, and training requirements, including Clearinghouse obligations
  • Properly handle, transport, and secure hazardous materials in compliance with HazMat regulations
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and professional service to customers and the public
  • Serve as a positive brand representative, reflecting Haun's Values through actions and communication
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age in order to operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with applicable U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Enhanced New York State driver's license free of major infractions or Valid US Passport with New York State driver's license
  • Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL Class B or Class A license in good standing
  • Current DOT Medical Card in good standing
  • Required endorsements:
    • HazMat
    • Air Brakes
    • Tanker – route specific
  • Must meet all FMCSA and DOT Clearinghouse requirements and maintain eligibility to operate a commercial motor vehicle
Equipment, Machines, and Software Used
  • Company delivery trucks and related equipment
  • Computer, printer, photocopier, telephone, calculator
  • Software systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Term 43, and other systems as assigned
  • Required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and face shield
Mental and Visual Requirements
  • Moderate mental and visual attention required for safe vehicle operation, material handling, and completion of required documentation
Physical Activities and Requirements
  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to exert:
    • Over 100 pounds of force occasionally
    • Over 50 pounds of force frequently
    • Over 20 pounds of force constantly
Environmental Conditions
  • Work is performed primarily in an outdoor and industrial environment
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils, vibration, hazardous materials, moving mechanical parts, and vehicle traffic
