Job description

Form Services, Inc. (FSI) is proud to have been serving the construction industry in the Mid-Atlantic Region for over 60 years. We provide the latest supplies, equipment, and an expert team ready to assist with any building needs. FSI provides professional contractors with quality products, unparalleled service and the most cost-effective solutions for their Concrete Forming needs.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class B CDL license, a clean driving record, and preferably flatbed experience. Deliveries will be local, with very limited out of state driving, however overtime may be required on most days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

1. Safe & Efficient Deliveries

  • Operate CDL B commercial vehicles to transport construction materials and rental equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers and job sites.
  • Properly load, secure, and unload materials using equipment such as forklifts, straps, and chains.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies.

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Report any maintenance issues, defects, or safety concerns immediately.
  • Keep vehicles clean, organized, and in compliance with DOT regulations.

3. Customer Service & Communication

  • Represent Form Services, Inc. professionally when interacting with customers, contractors, and site managers.
  • Provide delivery updates, verify orders, and obtain necessary signatures or documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding schedules, delays, or route changes.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws.
  • Follow proper lifting techniques, PPE requirements, and safety protocols on job sites.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and trip records.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience (preferred in construction supply or equipment delivery).
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, weight limits, and load securement procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in an outdoor, all-weather environment.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience operating flatbeds, box trucks, or other CDL B vehicles.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to frequently lift, bend, and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs). Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.). Ability to drive and stand for long periods of time, as well as maneuver heavy equipment.
