Role Overview

We have an opportunity for someone to join us as an Asset Accountant to work in a truly global environment to ensure appropriate GAAP accounting for their respective assets reporting to the Asset Controller.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare and book recurring and nonrecurring journal entries including but not limited to
• Accrual transactions
• Reclassify transactions
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations analytics
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages with applicable variance analysis for management
• Prepare general and administrative invoices for payment and validate general ledger (GL) postings
• Assist in developing and monitoring spending against annual budgets
• Partnering with the asset business leaders to optimize asset performance
• Work closely with asset operations to monitor capital projects and fixed asset activity
• Assist with annual audits
• Assist with special projects, as required

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of two years accounting experience, whilst energy sector experience would be advantageous, we are open to quality accounting experience from any sector
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, or relevant accounting work experience
• Advanced skills in Excel - essential
• US GAAP knowledge - essential
• Individual who can prioritize multiple tasks and ensure month end close deadlines are met
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to articulate, summarize, and present information clearly to audiences with different backgrounds and at different levels of the organization and external stakeholders
• Experience with Netsuite, AI tools, and/or Concur Invoice and Expense management advantageous
• Organized and detail-oriented, quick learning
• Problem solving and analytical skills required
• Adopts a proactive approach to managing work
• Good team player; willingness to assist/ cover other team members as required and have an approachable attitude
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work as part of a small team
• Understands the need for integrity and confidentiality
