We are seeking experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to build the next generation of our cloud platforms. What you will do: As a member of the Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics (MTR) Engineering team you'll be responsible for the design of our server platforms. You'll provide leadership in the application of new cooling and mechanical technologies to large scale server deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world-class customer experience. This is a fast-paced, challenging position, and you'll work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You'll have relentlessly high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you'll be constantly looking for ways to improve your products performance, quality and cost. You'll need to understand when a change in technology enables a completely different way of approaching server design. You will demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical and thermal systems, with experience in systems integration of complex server products. You'll have the desire to learn from new challenges and the problem solving and communication skills to work within a highly interactive and experienced team. Candidates must show a hands-on passion for their work and be able to communicate their ideas and concepts both verbally, and visually. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to integrate feedback and to respond quickly to changing contexts and work environments.

* Participate in the cross-discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions
* Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems
* Manage interaction with overseas resources
* Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers

- 4+ years experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
