As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating and testing mechanical designs for precision GPS-based products, and simulators, while working under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.

How I will Contribute:
- Working closely with Senior and Lead Engineers in an office and lab space environment designing the latest GPS-based and alternative PNT hardware.
- Testing new prototypes and hardware revisions to new and legacy products to ensure our products meet the highest standards and specifications.
- Devising test procedures, experiments, test fixtures; performing those tests, analyzing the results and generating comprehensive test reports and recommendations.
- Analyzing problem reports and designing fixes or revisions
- Working with vendors, subcontractors, and customers to understand their needs and applications toward solving problems in deployments
What you bring to the role:
- Current enrollment in college (Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology)
- Conceptual understanding of mechanical design concepts and best practices encompassing structures, vibration and heat transfer
- Basic understanding of modern fabrication techniques both additive and subtractive in nature
- Experience with one or more 3D modeling SW suites (Inventor preferred, Solidworks, Creo, etc.)
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to remain poised under all circumstances, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust.
- Curiosity and passion for mechanical engineering and technology with the ability to learn.
- Experience with machine shop tools is a plus
