Job description

Role Overview

Kodak is looking to hire an Electrical Engineering Summer Intern to join our Finishing Team in Rochester, NY. The principal responsibility of this position is to provide engineering support on projects and day-to-day support to our manufacturing operation. As an intern, you will work with very strong mechanical and electrical engineers, mechanics, and operators.

You will have the opportunity to learn and perform the following duties:
   Review the I/O devices from PLCs of the manufacturing equipment, to update or generate accurate electrical schematics utilizing CAD software.
   Review components of the machines documents and part numbers to stock the appropriate spares or source replacements.
   Write procedures to aid in setup of equipment level components.
   The Electrical Intern will be working and interact with the whole Engineering staff.
   Safely work in a manufacturing facility and specifically with electrical equipment.
   Work with the software required to communicate with VFD's, HMI's, PLC's and the remote I/O's components. 
   Work with maintenance and operations for project support.
   Report progress and present the final projects' accomplishments, to the entire Engineering team.

Requirements:
   Juniors or Senior Engineering majors at an accredited university, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related degree program.
   Strong abilities in MS Office, AutoCAD, AB Studio 5000 or equivalent PLC software. 
   Strong analytic skills and can work independently. 
   Able to learn procedures for safety.
