Your Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop products from conceptualization to launch.
  • Collaborates and consults with Test, Tooling, Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in support of new product development.
  • Interacts with Product Management as needed to assess new technology needs.
  • Leads or assists in efforts to resolve product performance issues.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates support of CPC core values.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or another related field.
  • Curious, creative, and tenacious problem solver.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CAD proficiency - PTC Creo, Solidworks, etc.
  • Knowledge and grasp of rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated history of design innovation.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach toward the definition of new products, complimented by an educated and realistic business outlook.
  • Competent in the design and development of plastic components.
  • This role may require up to 5% of travel, domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.
