Job Title: Hardware Deployment Technician (IT Operations)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Deployment Technician to join our fast-paced IT Operations team for a critical, project-based initiative. You will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation, configuration, and readiness of computing hardware. This is a high-volume, deadline-driven role where precision and logistics management are key.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Imaging & Preparation
• Deployment Readiness: Perform bulk imaging, system configuration, and final preparation of desktops and laptops to ensure they are ready for user deployment.
• Functional Verification: Conduct basic hardware diagnostic checks to verify devices are fully functional before release.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Maintain accurate, real-time records of imaging activities, device status, and inventory updates using our tracking systems.
Logistics & Coordination
• Request Fulfillment: Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure equipment readiness. Meet short-turnaround deadlines for hardware requests and ensure timely delivery.
• Process Compliance: Strictly follow established imaging protocols and safety guidelines when handling, packaging, and moving sensitive IT equipment.
• Communication: Maintain clear, professional status updates with stakeholders via Microsoft Teams and Outlook to ensure project workflows remain uninterrupted.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Foundation: A basic understanding of PC/Laptop hardware components and setup.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal team members.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook for daily operations.
• Physical Requirement: Ability to routinely lift and move hardware equipment (up to 30 lbs.) throughout an 8-hour shift.
Preferred Attributes
• Experience with Excel and SharePoint for data logging and documentation.
• Previous experience in an IT service desk, hardware depot, or logistics-focused IT environment.
• High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
