Job description

Growing resort wear apparel company looking for an artist who can contribute location-based designs. This position will take on many tasks, including supporting our U.S. sales reps by creating designs to sell in their region. In this role, the individual will work with the Creative Director, sales reps, and customers to identify design needs from our existing design catalog or by creating something new. This role is primarily a swing shift, 10:00 a.m. โ€“ 6:30 p.m., for up to four days per week; however, we can offer flexibility with scheduling as needed. During busy season, Tuesday through Saturday availability will also be required. We can flex the role to meet business demands. We need someone with a professional attitude who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Correct spelling and strong attention to detail are critical. The candidate must have 3+ years of experience working as a Production Artist, and previous hardgoods or drinkware experience is desirable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite of programs
  • Exceptional typography skills
  • T-shirt design and production experience is a plus
  • Hardgoods and drink wear experience is a BIGGER plus.
  • Handle the technical aspects of the art team, such as art processes, tools,ย task definitions, and scheduling of tasks.
  • Communicate with other teams in Customer Relations, Hardgoods and Production to identify risks in the production pipeline.
  • Prepare files for export in PDF formats for printing and creation of physical demos
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud Illustrator.
  • Send a link with your design portfolio.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

  • Associate of Arts in Graphic design or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees
  • Ability to drive results with minimal direction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
