Job description

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an entry-level associate/law graduate (class of 2026) to join the Business Law Department, Transactions Practice Group in our Silicon Valley office in the Fall of 2026. Foley's Transactions Practice Group is integrated nationally and principally handles M&A and securities matters for publicly and privately held middle market/upper middle market companies, private equity funds, family offices and others. As a result, this position will involve working with Foley lawyers and transactions based in California, as well as various other Foley regions.
Our ideal candidate will have strong research, document drafting, and interpersonal skills. Qualified candidates will have relevant experience and/or coursework in corporate law, banking and finance, and/or financial regulation. We are seeking a well-rounded, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Business Law Associate who is willing to work hard. Summer associate law firm experience preferred. Strong academic performance required. To be considered, all qualified candidates must be in their third year at an ABA-approved law school. Admission to the California Bar will be a condition of hire. Interested applicants should upload a cover letter, resume and law school transcript.
In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary information for all positions. The expected salary for this position is $225,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
