Are you passionate about creating memorable guest experiences while serving handcrafted cocktails in one of Maine's most iconic waterfront destinations? The Bar Harbor Inn & Spa is seeking an experienced, personable, and professional Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team for the season.
In this full-time seasonal role, you'll split your time between two of the Bar Harbor Inn's premier dining venues-working three days each week in the elegant Reading Room and two days each week at the oceanfront Terrace Grille. Position Details:
Schedule: Full-Time, Seasonal (Spring through Fall)
Hours: Shift varies and includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company recipes and service standards.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service in both the Reading Room and Terrace Grille.
  • Engage with guests in a warm, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies.
  • Process guest orders accurately using the POS system and handle payments efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with opening, closing, inventory, stocking, and side work.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all bar and service areas.

Skills & Requirements:
  • Previous bartending experience required; restaurant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy service periods.
  • Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain or maintain any required alcohol service certifications.
