  • Health Center Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)ย 
  • Up to 20 hours per weekย 
  • Hourly, Non-Exempt
  • Variable Pay, Depends on Experience
  • Quarter System: Next Start is the Winter Quarter (January 2026)
  • Fully onsite position in Bellevue, Nebraska

Position Overview:
As a teaching institution, our primary mission is to prepare students and interns to enter the chiropractic profession with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver safe, effective, and independent patient care. The Health Center Adjunct Faculty Doctor plays a vital role in this mission by guiding, instructing, and evaluating interns as they develop and refine their clinical competencies.

In this role, the Adjunct Faculty Doctor provides hands-on instruction and oversight in all aspects of patient care, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnostic imaging and lab decisions, case diagnosis, patient communication, and delivery of care through chiropractic adjustments and ancillary procedures. Working in a dynamic teaching clinic environment, the Adjunct Faculty Doctor also reviews and approves internsโ€™ diagnoses, management plans, goals of care, and prognoses as documented in the Patient Diagnosis and Care Summary (PDCS) and other qualitative assessments.

This position offers the opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of chiropractors while ensuring high standards of patient care and professional practice within the Collegeโ€™s health centers.

Job Responsibilities:ย 

  • Ensure that patient care including history, exams, x-rays & other imaging studies, adjustments, ancillary care, and referrals are performed within the accepted standards of care and in accordance with the law in the state of Nebraska, Federal Regulation, and the Life West Health Center policies and procedures.ย 
  • Must be available in the Health Center during scheduled hours
  • Scheduled hours include any of the following: Oversight of patient care in Student and Outpatient Clinic; Intern Assessments; In-class instruction and assistance in our Clinically Inspired Learning program; oversight in X-ray Imaging; PDCS
  • Participate in Health Center Competency testing & reporting of at-risk students
  • Participate in a combination of areas in the Health Center to ensure the smooth operation of ย Student Health Center, Outpatient Health Center, and Academic Instruction.
  • Participate in Health Center faculty development activities & faculty meetings during scheduled hours.
  • Teach and assess required skills and competencies as described by the CCE and per Life West protocols.
  • Manage patient care in accordance to Medicare compliance guidelines when applicable

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a D.C. degree from a CCE-accredited chiropractic collegeย 
  • Must have a minimum of five years chiropractic practice experience
  • Must have a current license to practice chiropractic in the state of Nebraska
  • Must have a clear record with the State Board of Nebraska as well as all other states in which licenses were held
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office & Google
  • Familiarity with ChiroTouch is preferred, but training is available
  • Command of the English language
  • Teaching experience is preferred
