Position Overview
Hanwha Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to drive strategic growth within the Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) and power generation market in the US. This role is critical in driving growth within these strategic sectors, developing key relationships with long-term customer partnerships such as OEMs, utilities, IPPs, and turbine service providers and business development process from identification of opportunities to contract finalization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the commercial engine markets, with a proven ability to secure new business and foster long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Lead strategic account planning, opportunity pipeline management, bid/pricing strategy, and booking forecasts.
- Generate leads through networking and cold-calling prospective clients.
- Lead the proposal development process including the preparation of bid and negotiation for new contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop customer solutions.
Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute strategic plans for business growth with the Industrial Gas Turbine and Energy sector.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to drive long-term initiatives.
- Forecast revenue, identify risks and opportunities, and develop strategic plans to meet financial targets.
