Job description

The Aircraft Maintenance Surface Coat Technician- Engine is a critical TechOps role at Delta. This position is part of a team working alongside Aviation Maintenance Technicians and other skilled technicians such as welders and machinists to repair and or restore engine parts to their original serviceable condition per Delta, OEM, and FAA specifications, and Delta process Standards.

Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):

  • Works in a safe, timely and defect-free manner to meet established turn-time goals in support of Engine, Landing Gear, APU, Component, Hangar and Thrust Reverser operations.
  • Works any assigned shift in a 24-hour, 7-day operation and must be willing to work alternate shifts, off-days, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Performs functions, tasks, and duties which may vary depending upon job assignment and operational requirements, but could include Blending, Vibratory Polish, Coating, Ovens, Braze, FIC/VPA, and Plasma.
  •  Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
