Job Description

This role focuses on performing avionics repair, installation, and modification on a variety of commercial fixed-wing aircraft. You will work hands-on in a hangar environment, diagnosing and resolving avionics issues, installing new systems, and supporting aircraft return-to-service in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform avionics repair, installation, and modification on a variety of commercial fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot avionics systems to identify faults and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Install, configure, and verify avionics equipment and systems in accordance with technical data and regulatory requirements.
  • Support aircraft modification projects, including integration of new avionics components and systems.
  • Use wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to perform harness work and system installations.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards to support timely aircraft return-to-service.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially on time-critical projects, to minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Use personal tools in an organized tool box to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to coordinate work and meet project schedules.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3+ years of avionics experience.
  • Hands-on aircraft avionics experience, preferably on commercial fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Proficiency in avionics troubleshooting and diagnosis of system faults.
  • Experience with avionics installation, including wiring and harness work.
  • Background in aircraft modification or repair involving avionics systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.

The environment is fast-paced and focused on time-sensitive projects, particularly work related to returning aircraft to service quickly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
