Job description

Hanover Iron Works, Inc. is seeking a skilled General Superintendent to join our team. Our team works on exciting construction projects installing stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote proactive safety behavior through regular safety meetings, training, and leadership.
  • Ensure all field operations comply with regulatory requirements, company safety policies, and job/client-specific safety requirements and plans.
  • Lead and guide site foreman and overall field installation for miscellaneous metals projects.
  • Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to maintain alignment on project goals, resource planning, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate weekly labor schedule and delivery of equipment and materials for each job site.
  • Guide leaders in implementing company policies and representing company values.
  • Provide expertise and resources in installation of stairs, handrail, CMU bracing, stainless, glass handrail, finish work, AESS, rigging, equipment operation, and partitions framing.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Apply knowledge of the quality system and standards during planning and execution.
  • Forecast labor needs and coordinate with field operations leadership for staffing and recruitment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and the SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes.
  • Experience with relevant software such as Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Tekla.
  • Current OSHA 30 Certificate preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to fulfill daily regional travel for job site visits and occasional overnight stays.
