Please see below for Job description. We are looking for team members for both of our shifts . Shifts are as follows Monday - Sunday:
AM Shift: 6:30am-1:00pm
PM Shift: 1:30pm-8:15pm
You love dogs.
I donโ€™t mean you โ€œlike dogsโ€ or feel that dogs are โ€œfine, I guess.โ€ No, I mean you LOVE dogs. To you, dogs are the greatest things in the world. You probably like most dogs better than you like most people. Youโ€™ve said the phrase โ€œCan I pet your dog?โ€ to more strangers than you could possibly count.
You believe that dogs make life better.

Are you looking to begin a new career involving dogs? Are you ready to learn more about body language, play styles and dog behavior? Are you thinking about going to Vet Tech or Vet assistant school? If you answered yes to any of these, then this is the job for you!
Dogtopia Milwaukee East Side has an opening for an energetic, organized, dog loving individual that will be responsible for managing and maintaining a safe playroom environment for our furry friends.
If all that sounds like you, we should talk. Weโ€™re looking for exceptional dog lovers to become Canine Coaches at our brand-new Milwaukee East Side location. We have availability for both our morning and our afternoon/evening shifts. Weโ€™ll provide all the training, which is extensive. You provide:
  • Consistent and timely attendance
  • A friendly attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • A willingness to work hard, improve, and pitch in for the team
  • The ability to spend 70% of the time standing
  • The love, affection, play, caring, and romping for our four-legged friends!
  • A willingness to always keep our environment clean and safe, this is a team effort!
  • Commitment to take part and complete Dogtopiaโ€™s training program
Your role is to care for all our dogs as if they are familyโ€ฆbecause they are. Youโ€™ll work in air-conditioned, indoor playrooms, and once you become a part of our Dogtopia team, you can bring your dog to work with you, too.
Successful team members are always aware of their environment and consistently attend to the ever-changing pack environment and special needs of each dog. This position requires a high level of responsibility as we are caring for the lives of animals and monitoring and maintaining a safe environment. A Day in the Life:
  • Engage, interact, and enjoy the dogs
  • Caring for all dogs as if they were your own
  • Maintain control of large groups of dogs (when its large play time) and make good judgement calls when you see any furry bad behavior.
  • On that note, successful Canine Coaches are always aware of their environment and attend to the ever-changing pack environment and special needs of each dog.
  • You will be on your feet showing dogs attention and care to ensure that they are abiding you as the pack leader in the room
  • Actively monitoring all health and behavior issues and addressing those issues in a timely and effective manner (yes, you use a lot of common sense here!)
  • Engaging with customers from time to time and making sure you SMILE for the camera
  • Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Lots of dogs means lots of cleaning.
  • We must emphasize this is a physical job! It requires hard work, daily cleaning, refilling water coolers, doing laundry and taking out the trash. No one (even the owner) are above these tasks.
