Cone Packer

The Cone Packer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of cones in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring cone quality
  • Conducting row counts
  • Feeding cones onto a moving conveyor (packaging cones as stated in the packing procedures and is documented in the specific Machine/Oven/Line Ledger)
  • Making, sealing, and stacking cases on to pallets
  • Monitoring Jacket and Syrup Dispenser
  • Sorting and stacking rows of cones onto cooling racks
  • Hand packing over wrapped cones into cases
  • Monitoring Critical Control Points (CCP) and recording checks as directed
  • Conducting machine/quality/finished product checks and recording checks as well as any issues revealed by the checks
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Essential Functions
  • Able to read, understand, and strictly follow written procedures
  • Good understanding of and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP)
  • Must be able to detect audible tones and alarms
  • Must be able to distinguish and sort by color
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts
  • Must be organized and maintain work area to a high level of cleanliness
  • Able to identify areas that need attention and either address or report as necessary
  • Must be able to speak, listen, and effectively communicate with team members
  • Follow direction and perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision
  • Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, including expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences
  • This position involves regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
  • Required to stand on their feet and/ or walk up to 12 hours per day
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds, climb, reach and regularly use stairs
