Medical

Job description

A warm, loving family on the Upper East Side is seeking an exceptional live-in or live-out nanny to care for their two young children, ages 2 and 4. This is a collaborative, long-term opportunity for a professional nanny who thrives in a team-oriented environment and enjoys working alongside involved parents and another nanny.

The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7am-7:30pm. There is another full-time nanny working Wednesday through Sunday, and a willingness to very occasionally work on weekends if she is sick or if the family is traveling is preferred.

Summer months (July and August) are spent in the Hamptons, and the family is happy for the candidate to work a ROTA schedule during this time (1 week on/1 week off) alongside the other nanny (with payment for all weeks).

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for two toddlers
  • Partner closely with the mother in a “tag-team” context and collaborate seamlessly with the family’s second nanny to ensure smooth daily transitions
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children (the family uses a meal delivery service, so cooking is minimal)
  • Support children’s routines including meals, naps, bath time, and engaging activities
  • Travel with the family (domestically and internationally) as required
  • The family employs a housekeeper who handles laundry and deep cleaning, so the candidate’s responsibilities pertain only to childcare.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ verifiable experience caring for multiple young children
  • Experience working in homes with stay-at-home or highly involved parents
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Warm, engaging, and proactive approach to childcare
  • Educational background in ECE/ Child Development or other relevant field

  • Valid U.S. passport, Green Card, or EAC
  • Passport-ready and willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Available to spend July and August working in the Hamptons (ROTA schedule optional)
  • Comfortable around a small dog (no pet care responsibilities required)

  • $50+/hr
  • Metrocard reimbursement
  • Eligible for Christmas bonus
  • Overnight fee in the Hamptons
  • $200 monthly healthcare stipend
