Job description


This position is a 0.6 FTE located at Dorothy Hamm Middle School.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community members
Prepare theater students for in school and outside performance opportunities
Flexible, dependable, and highly organized
Desire to work with diverse community of learners
Work effectively with fine arts team.
Must be organized with excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge in technical theater helpful
Stay current with arts related technology and best practices
Must use best practices in maintaining theater practice and performance spaces
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with diverse student population
Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge.
Experience implementing best practices in Theater Instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
Must be endorsed in Theater.
Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is
preferred but not required.
