As a Security Guard Food Hall/Shopping Mall Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, vendors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a high-traffic retail and dining destination.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, retail spaces, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unauthorized access, property concerns, or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Hold CPR certification, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
