Job description

Title: CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist

Shift: 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm, occasional overtime

Location: Canfield, OH

Salary: $25-$32/hr +/- depending on experience

CNC Mill Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Run, program and Setup CNC Lathe/Milling equipment (Haas/Fanuc Controls)
  • Read blueprints and check the accuracy of work; inspect parts
  • Supervise machine temperatures and ensure that the machine has an adequate warm-up and cool-down time between jobs.
  • Read mics, calipers, OD's, tool presetting/comparators, dial bore gauges, make proper tooling offsets in the machine tool, and set proper speeds and feeds
  • Programing at the machine (G & M code / Conversational)
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain orderly work areas

About you:

  • 3-5 years' experience running CNC Lathes and Mills (Haas/Fanuc controls preferred)
  • Experience operating horizontal machining centers
  • Experienced in turning, drilling, boring and threading
  • Ability to load and unload parts weighing 5,000 lbs or more
  • Capable of completing own setups in machining centers
  • Fixture making experience
  • Skilled in measuring parts up to 40" in diameter
  • Able to work independently
  • Familiarity with required hand tools; their applications and uses; and safe handling requirements
