H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America.

H2O Innovation is seeking a new Licensed Water Operator to join our team. Our next colleague will hold a permanent & full-time position. This hands-on role is responsible for performing essential fieldwork related to water systems across assigned service areas. Reporting to the Supervisors, the technician will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Attend department meetings daily to receive and prioritize work orders
  • Review and organize daily tickets for efficient route planning
  • Drive to assigned service areas and maintain communication with Customer Service Representatives
  • Check in and out with Customer Service when entering or leaving each district and before returning to the office
  • Document all completed and incomplete work tickets and submit them daily
  • Turn water service on and off using appropriate tools
  • Read and verify in-ground meters
  • Lock meters and inspect for leaks or malfunctions
  • Inspect water leaks and perform minor repairs
  • Install, replace, or remove in-ground meters and related components
  • Replace meter boxes or lids
  • Support Construction and Operations departments as directed by supervisor

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES DESIRED

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Class D Water License
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work (bending, digging, lifting, stooping, kneeling)
  • Mandatory overtime and on call hours
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record screening
