Job Title: House Patrol

Department: Stemilt Ag Services LLC

Reports To: H2A Warehouse Manager

Summary:

This individual will be responsible to shepherd the H2a workers (local and guest) upon arrival to the company housing and/or hotel facilities in the corresponding contract. Coordinate with ranch manager that the workers needs are met. Oversee the safety of the occupants and ensure that labor housing is maintained, and rules are followed by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicate clearly with employees living in housing areas.

  • Protect property by constantly patrolling the housing area at random times. This includes unannounced inspections.

  • Conduct daily safety morning walk through of housing facilities.

  • Monitor the entrance of the housing facilities to any visitor. Ensure that visitor sign-in and sign-out sheet is being used at all times.

  • Enforce visitor rules and ensure that visitors do not stay on the premises during unscheduled times.

  • Respond to any alarms and calls of distress. Call for aid if necessary.

  • Report any missing worker immediately to direct supervisor and H2A program coordinator.

  • Initiate investigation of complaints in the houses and report immediately to direct supervisor

  • Apply corrective actions as necessary when workers break housing rules. Update and report incidents to ranch manager.

  • Maintain cleanliness of housing facilities and premises by performing the following duties:

  • Schedule, coordinates, and directs routine cleaning schedules on weekly basis for the workers.

  • Keep a daily log of cleaning tasks and schedules

  • Follow a preventative maintenance schedule

  • Maintain H2A supplies list

  • Create and present Corrective Actions, as needed

  • Assign workers to their correspondence housing and food storage, if applicable.

  • Oversee that Stemilt housing units are safe and in adequate conditions by:

  • Conduct monthly inspections (or more frequently as needed) of Stemilt housing units for needed services and responds to service and repair requests in a timely matter to the corresponding staff. Communicate repair needs to supervisor for approval.

  • Maintains supplies inventory for cleaning and housing and submits written request of items required by H2A contract.

  • Drive employees living in housing to medical appointments as needed.

  • Prevent fraternization between supervisors and employees living in housing facilities.

  • This position requires a willingness to work non-traditional shift hours, and the ability to be on call after-hours for housing related requests or emergencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees living on site and at hotel premises, which are under an H2A contract.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • First Aid Certification

  • Valid Driverโ€™s License

Other skills and abilities:

  • Basic maintenance knowledge of carpentry, heating and ventilation systems, appliance maintenance, construction, etc.

  • Great communication skills with clients (workers) and public.

  • Knowledge of CPR
