Position Summary
The Senior Analyst, Security Projects & Newbuild supports the Global Security Operations leadership team by assisting in the planning, development, execution, tracking, and continuous improvement of security-related projects, processes, policies, and newbuild initiatives across Royal Caribbean Group.
This role is responsible for supporting the development of standardized security processes, documentation, project tracking tools, operational workflows, and policy-related materials that help drive consistency across brands, ships, private destinations, and global security programs. The Senior Analyst works closely with the Senior Manager, Security Operations, Projects & Newbuild, and other internal stakeholders to ensure projects are organized, tracked, documented, and executed efficiently.
The role requires a highly organized, fast-paced, hardworking, and self-driven individual who can manage multiple priorities, learn new systems quickly, work independently, and provide direct support to leadership in a constantly evolving operational environment. The Senior Analyst must be comfortable using and learning platforms such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other business applications used to manage projects, data, documentation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Security Projects & Newbuild Support
  • Support the planning, coordination, tracking, and execution of Global Security projects, including newbuild initiatives, technology projects, operational improvement initiatives, and fleetwide security programs.
  • Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, action items, status updates, and follow-up items to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Support newbuild security initiatives by working with procurement team to create equipment orders, helping document requirements, track progress, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain visibility of open items.
  • Prepare project summaries, updates, presentations, trackers, and leadership reports as needed.
  • Maintain clear and organized project documentation to support continuity, accountability, and future reference.
  • Support the annual security conferences collaborating with different teams to prepare an agenda with speakers

Process Development & Standardization
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and improving Global Security processes, procedures, workflows, and standards.
  • Support the standardization of security-related processes across brands, ships, departments, projects, and operational areas.
  • Help identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in existing processes and documentation.
  • Create tools, templates, trackers, and workflows that improve consistency, visibility, and execution across Global Security initiatives.
  • Support the development of repeatable processes that allow the department to manage projects and operational responsibilities more effectively.

Policy & Documentation Support
  • Assist with writing, reviewing, formatting, organizing, and updating security policies, procedures, manuals, guidance documents, training materials, and operational documentation.
  • Support the alignment of security documentation with company standards, operational needs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Help maintain version control, document tracking, and organized repositories for key Global Security documents.
  • Draft clear and professional written materials, including summaries, reports, process documents, project updates, and policy-related content.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, easy to understand, and aligned with Global Security leadership expectations.

Technology, Systems & Data Support
  • Support the use and development of technology tools used by Global Security, including Smartsheet, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Office applications, and other platforms introduced by the business.
  • Learn new systems quickly and assist in building or maintaining dashboards, trackers, reports, forms, workflows, and project management tools.
  • Support data collection, organization, and reporting related to projects, processes, technology initiatives, and operational performance.
  • Assist in creating visibility tools that help leadership track progress, identify gaps, and make informed decisions.
  • Maintain a strong working understanding of technology solutions used by the department and support their practical implementation.

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Security Operations, Newbuild, IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Marine Operations, Guest Operations, shipboard teams, vendors, and other business partners as needed.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to collect updates, confirm action items, and support timely completion of deliverables.
  • Help organize meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting notes, and track follow-up actions.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with both shoreside and shipboard stakeholders.
  • Support leadership by ensuring information is organized, accurate, and available when needed.

Leadership Support
  • Provide direct administrative, analytical, project, and operational support to the Senior Manager, Security Operations, Projects & Newbuild.
  • Anticipate needs, follow up independently, and help keep projects and initiatives moving forward.
  • Work with minimal supervision while keeping leadership informed of progress, risks, delays, and required decisions.
  • Support multiple priorities at the same time in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Maintain a high level of ownership, accountability, urgency, and attention to detail.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in security operations, project coordination, maritime operations, newbuild, compliance, process improvement, business administration, or operational support preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, and willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently, think ahead, and follow through without constant direction.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft clear policies, procedures, reports, summaries, and project documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information in a clear, professional, and practical way.
  • Ability to learn new systems, applications, and technology tools quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Power BI, project management tools, dashboards, forms, workflows, or reporting platforms preferred.
  • Ability to understand technology concepts and support technology-related security projects, even if not serving as a technical expert.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with leadership, peers, shipboard teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, reliable, and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive security-related information appropriately.

Working Conditions
Office-based role with standard business hours; flexibility may be required to support global operations, project deadlines, shipboard needs, or newbuild-related activities. Occasional travel may be required to support ship visits, project work, newbuild activities, operational assessments, or stakeholder meetings.
