Security Officer Transit Day Shift

As a Security Officer Transit Day Shift in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transit location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to riders, visitors, and staff. This role offers the opportunity to use clear communication, sound judgment, and teamwork while representing our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Mon 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Tue 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Wed 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Thur 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Fri 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, bus stops, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, assist with directing authorized visitors and vendors, and report access-control concerns or facility issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
