Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist shall provide clinical care for Workers’ Compensation patients that have been referred by a Health Services Doctor and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP). Services provided shall include patient evaluation/assessment and treatment according to the prevailing highest-quality professional guidelines. Patient evaluation and assessment shall include, but is not limited to, edema measurements, range of motion measurements, pain levels, strength measurements, activities of daily living assessments including current level of function, ergonomic assessments and sensory testing (when applicable). Patient treatment shall include, but is not limited to manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, ultrasound, H-wave, iontophoresis, and splinting.

Requirements

Physical Therapist Qualification Requirements

Master of Science or higher and 3 - 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

License to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of CA. Approved Licensing Authority: (https://www.ptbc.ca.gov/).

Broad knowledge of ergonomics, wellness, and physical therapy programmatic areas required to analyze and solve problems that cross-cut wellness and occupational safety areas.

Proven experience and record of matching patient needs to treatment plans, therapy techniques, and implementation of plans in a safe and effective manner.

Strong experience implementing a wide range of occupational and physical therapy techniques to best meet needs of patients and evaluation of short and long-term effectiveness.

Demonstrated ability to utilize sound judgment in providing oversight for programmatic responsibilities and applying policy and perspective to dynamic operations situations. Works under general direction and guidance for independently planning, scheduling, coordinating, executing, and monitoring the programmatic and therapeutic job areas.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification

Ability to lift, carry and transport up to 25 lbs. of educational materials to meetings and displays.
