RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS COACH ROLE SUMMARY

At Salem Gymnastics & Swim you will be entering a vibrant, family-oriented atmosphere, where fun and teaching collide. This is an opportunity to engage and inspire kids through the sport of gymnastics. If you like working with kids and being active then this is a wonderful opportunity for you. Recreational Gymnastics Instructors at Salem Gymnastics & Swim will be responsible for conducting Gymnastics classes for various students of different ages, abilities, and skill levels. Classes range from preschool classes, Beginner, Advanced and Intermediate levels. At times, Recreational Gymnastics Instructors may be asked to perform other necessary duties as well. Recreational Gymnastics Instructors typically report to the Recreational Gymnastics Director.

RESPONSBILITIES
  • Successfully complete training and mentoring program to learn about coaching gymnastics at Salem
  • Ensure training is utilized when instructing classes
  • Encourage and inspire kids to be their best
  • Smile and have fun during the entire shift.
  • Educate and enforce safety rules. We value the safety of our students and staff.
  • Strive to prevent accidents and maintain discipline.
  • Assist with tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as they are scheduled.
  • Be willing to substitute for teammates when they are unable to work
  • Perform additional duties as necessary given by the Recreation Gymnastics Director OR Floor Leader.
