Job description

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, preparing products for transport, and ensuring the dock area is organized and safe.
In addition to performing all Warehouse/Dock Associate tasks, the Warehouse Lead will ensure shop floor operations are running smoothly and safety standards are maintained in coordination and support of the management team.
Essential Functions:
Ensure shop floor operations are running smoothly and safety standards are maintained in coordination and support of the management team.
Coordinate and support the movement of materials and products throughout the warehouse to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Assist team members with daily tasks and provide training at the direction of management.
Track, complete, and file documentation in support of day-to-day operations.
Manually and mechanically load, move, secure, and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and transport vehicles.
Inspect product loads for accuracy to ensure timely and complete delivery.
Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
Use pneumatic air/power tools (torque wrench, nail gun, impact gun) and operate heavy machinery (forklifts and overhead and cranes).
Load containers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of warehouse or manufacturing environment experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 6 months previous fork truck/forklift experience required.
Strong computer usage skills required.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Good critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Capable of working inside or outside facility in high heat or cold conditions for entire shift.
Capable of working safely and accurately in fast-paced environment.
Capable of working in smoke-free facility without issue for entire shift.
