Gun range employees, also known as range officers or range attendants, are responsible for overseeing the safe operation of shooting ranges. Their duties typically include enforcing safety rules, assisting customers with equipment, providing instruction on firearm use, and maintaining the range facilities. They may also handle the rental and sale of firearms and ammunition, as well as cleaning and maintaining the shooting lanes. Customer service and a strong knowledge of firearm safety are crucial aspects of this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a gun range safety officer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Gun Range Safety Officer, you need a solid knowledge of firearms safety, range operations, and relevant local regulations, typically supported by certifications such as NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) or equivalent.
