Assembler - $22/hr

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling premium products from start to finish while maintaining high quality standards and following detailed production instructions. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools, identify and use the correct materials, and support your team by communicating any shortages or quality issues. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read production lists and tape measures accurately, and the physical capability to handle materials and tools safely throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete assembly from start to finish according to established procedures.
• Inspect each phase of the assembly process to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Read and follow production lists, standard work, control plans, and written work instructions accurately.
• Identify and select the proper materials required for each assembly job.
• Use drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively as part of the assembly process.
• Advise team members and supervisors of any material shortages, defects, or quality issues in a timely manner.
• Measure components accurately using a tape measure and verify dimensions during assembly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safety.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective gear.
• Collaborate with team members in production and general labor tasks to meet daily output goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience in assembly, production, or general labor environments.
• Ability to read and follow production lists, standard work, control plans, and written work instructions.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools, including drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and similar equipment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Basic reading and math skills to interpret measurements and production information.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
• Comfort working with mechanical assembly components and construction-related materials.
• Ability to identify proper materials and verify their suitability for each job.
• Reliability in following safety procedures and maintaining quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
• Familiar in construction, mechanical assembly, or related fields.
• Experience working with general labor and production tasks in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with blueprints or mechanical drawings is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work effectively on either first or second shift as scheduled.
• Willingness to work occasional Fridays, including half-day or full-day shifts, when needed.

Work Environment

The facility operates multiple shifts, including a first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday. There is currently additional work on Fridays, which may be scheduled as a half day or full day, with notice given early in the week. Team members receive two twelve-minute breaks and one thirty-minute lunch break during the shift. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools such as drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, and sanders as part of daily tasks. The facility is not air conditioned, so temperatures can become warm, and the dress code is designed with comfort and safety in mind. Steel-toed shoes are required, and clothing must be appropriate, but team members may wear shorts and t-shirts. Individuals with long hair must wear it secured in a ponytail or bun for safety. You will be part of a large workforce in a busy, production-driven setting that emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
