Summary


The Loan Portfolio Manager supports commercial lenders in processing loan applications, preparing documentation, and maintaining effective communication with clients and internal departments of the bank. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all legal and loan documents.


Responsibilities

  • Assist loan officers as necessary with all aspects of loan closings.
  • Engage and work closely with title companies and attorneys.
  • Coordinate loan closings by managing the process from approval to booking.
  • Serve as the point of contact for bank customers.
  • Process loan payments and other entries related to loan closings and customer service.
  • Assist in clearing exceptions and collecting past due accounts.
  • Check NSF items for accounts assigned to loan officers.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
  • Work with the loan documentation department to coordinate & prepare loan documents for closing.
  • Facilitate construction inspections and advances for construction loans.
  • Gather required documentation to facilitate loan closings (i.e. tax records, insurance).

Requirements


Skills/Experience/Education

  • 2-year college degree or equivalent/relevant professional experience.
  • Three to five years of loan processing (commercial preferred).
  • Candidate must have knowledge of consumer, commercial and real estate loans, regulations, procedures, and documentation.
  • Personal computer experience, Windows, Word, Excel, Laser-Pro.
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multi tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated
  • Works well as a team.

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
