Brief Description

The Financial Service Representative will be responsible for opening new commercial and consumer deposit accounts, performing teller transactions and other customer service duties. Deliver positive client experiences through a consultative and personalized service approach in person and over the phone. Constantly seeking opportunities for conversations to uncover financial needs, promote Banks products and referring clients to the appropriate channels and technology to meet those needs.
Duties/Responsibilities

Opens commercial and consumer deposit accounts for new and existing clients, accurately, efficiently and in compliance with policies and procedures.
Accurately performs teller transactions and other service activities while proactively identifying opportunities and making financial product and service recommendations.
Actively engage with existing and prospective clients to create a positive experience that is consistent with the values and culture of the organization.
Deepen relationships through expert knowledge of banks products and services.
Ensure accuracy and completion of all transactions and client service requests.
Build meaningful relationships by participating in branch promotions and community events, as assigned.
Work effectively in a team environment across all organizational levels.
Maintains a strong knowledge of policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities

Strong commercial and consumer new accounts opening and documentation skills, with 3 to 5 years previous new accounts experience.
Previous experience as a teller in a commercial bank.
Strong in-person and phone customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of various bank systems, products, policies, and procedures.
Passion for helping people and the drive to build relationships.
Ability to effectively ask open-ended questions, problem solve and provide solutions.
Education and Experience

High School diploma, associate degree or higher preferred.
3 to 5 years of previous experience in a commercial bank working with new accounts and performing teller transactions.
Previous experience with Fiserv banking core system a plus.
Physical Demands

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment and physical demands are those of a standard retail branch setting.
