Steritec Products, Inc., a member of Getinge, manufactures sterilization and cleaning medical device consumables using ink technology. We manufacture and print highly specialized proprietary inks that undergo specific color changes when exposed to different sterilization conditions in hospital and industrial/pharmaceutical sterilizers.

This is an on-site role. Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.
Position Summary
The Cell Operator's main objective is to produce defect-free products in safe, efficient, and effective manner in accordance with production schedules and established procedures. Each Cell Operator is responsible for cutting and/or trimming printed stock/raw materials to customer specifications on a powered guillotine cutting machine. This will include the setup, operation, and adjustment of the machine to make precise cuts of product within specified tolerance ranges to provide a steady supply of materials for packaging.
All positions in the Production Department require the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with production team, co-workers, supervisors, and management. The employee is expected to maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Adherence to all stated company policies and procedures is required. Cell Operator is capable of cutting product on one guillotine cutting machine and making minor adjustments.
Essential Job Functions
• Adheres to all stated company policies and procedures.
• Prior to start of production order, checks raw materials against documentation to ensure that correct components are used.
• Verifies lamination requirements of job and works with cell members to perform lamination if necessary.
• Builds and cuts product accurately by referring to product specifications and diagrams and understanding capabilities of cutting machine.
• Assists cell members with other cell tasks including but not limited to packaging by hand and operating packaging machines while following Good
• Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Proper paper handling to prevent damage to product.
• Identifies/detects quality and specification deviations and corrects/reports immediately.
• Accurately measures and records cutting and lamination waste and follows waste disposal procedures.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor adjustments on equipment.
• Follows good safety practices especially around machinery and sharp blades/cutting instruments. Wears PPE when required.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment. ("dust-free", etc.)
• Logs in and out of ERP System (user interface/GUI) in an accurate manner.
• Fully and accurately completes all necessary documentation.
• Cross-training (various roles) is expected.
• Meet & exceed both Production and Quality Standards output
• Meet Production Standards on product work Orders
Essential Job Requirements
EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED. Trade School or College level's a plus.
EXPERIENCE Minimum two years as machine operator. Previous experience with guillotine cutting machine preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Professional interpersonal skills necessary to interact with internal
contacts and other departments. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills; ability to independently and as part of a team.
Quality Requirements

• Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function).
• Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
• Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
• Adopt the "Beyond Compliance Quality Culture" in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.
Physical Requirements
• Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions.
• Hearing necessary to receive and reply to employees.
• Ability to speak clearly in order to communicate with employees in person.
• Responsible for understanding and conforming to the Health and
• Safety Policy to ensure that the significant risks that relate to actual or potential hazards with their work are identified.
• May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
• Must wear appropriate PPE as required. This may include:
o Safety Glasses
o Steel toed footwear
o Gloves
o Leather apron
o Ear Plugs
• Must be willing (and able) to work in a standing position for extended periods of time with occasional bending, stooping, reaching and lifting (up to 30 pounds).
• Willingness to frequently move to various locations within the facility
