Provide excellent customer service to the facilities in taking orders, answering questions, referring information and phone calls to the appropriate departments.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):
  • Answer incoming phone calls from patients and caregivers.
  • Respond to customer questions about prescriptions, refills, and pharmacy services.
  • Assist in submission of refill requests to the Data Entry department.
  • Help facilities/patients understand prescription status and delivery schedules.
  • Verify and update patient information in pharmacy systems.
  • Resolve basic customer concerns and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Document customer interactions accurately in the pharmacy system.
  • Coordinate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to address patient needs.
  • Provide friendly, professional service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Follow HIPAA and company privacy policies.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB), preferred

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
  • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
