Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Donor Relations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving fund development efforts to support donor-driven revenue for GSNETX. Collaborating with the Chief External Affairs Officer, Director of Development, and other key stakeholders, the Manager oversees the donor stewardship process including the donor
database, donor reports, prospecting, communication and engagement of donors in the Girl Scout mission. The Donor Relations Manager provides collaborative support for processes and procedures to allow the Fund Development team to cultivate, engage and steward donors of GSNETX.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned):

Donor Gifts Management:
•Develop and maintain all online donation forms for GSNETX donations.
•Process offline and online donor contributions received by GSNETX within 48 hours. Perform daily gift processing with accurate data entry and coding for all gifts including checks, cash, credit cards, online gifts, pledges, workplace giving, and matching gifts.
•Follow established donor gift entry protocols and coding hierarchy including all campaign, fund, and appeal records in database.

Database and Information Management:

•Maintain an effective data hierarchy including all campaign, fund, and appeal records in the database. Proactively make recommendations for improvements.
•Maintain a structure within the database to effectively identify specific segments of data for various analysis and segmented fundraising appeal efforts.
•Maintain the health and security of the donor database including but not limited to creating and updating prospect records, relationship tracking, affinity measures, gift coding, record coding, user security rights, address updating, and ongoing record clean up.
•With the Director of Development, develop, implement, and maintain GSNETX data policies and procedures. Educate team members and cross functional stakeholders on updated policies and procedures, as needed.
•Collaborate with the Finance Department to reconcile gifts and pledges monthly, maintaining data integrity for strategic operations, including month-end close and proper financial input from various online giving platforms.
•Facilitate and/or deliver staff training and technical support on the usage of Raiser’s Edge NXT and other databases and online resources, to advance department and organizational impact.
Facilitates drive user adoption of Raiser’s Edge NXT and best data practices.
•Maintain relevant online profiles and giving platforms including, but not limited to, North Texas Giving Day, East Texas Giving Day, Corporate Processors and United Ways.
•Manage vendor relationships, such as Raiser’s Edge NXT, Greater Giving, wealth screening platforms, etc. and identify new potential partnerships and tools.
•Process Fund Development expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
•Work cross functionally with team members on other data and information related projects, as needed.

Fundraising:
•Manage donor acknowledgement process for all contributions including regular gift receipting and acknowledgement and year-end tax summaries.
•With the Director of Development, manage donor recognition tasks including website donor listings and annual report donor listings.
•Oversee list management for GSNETX events, annual appeals, various mailings and other associated needs.
•Maintains appropriate portfolios for Fund Development staff and CEO and assists in developing pipeline and moves management reports to assist fundraisers in successfully moving prospects to gift closing.
•Conducts data-mining activities and identifies trends in giving to inform solicitations and adapt annual fund strategies as needed to reach fundraising goals. Proactively makes recommendations for new and improved data analysis.

Fundraising and Stewardship Emails
•With Development Manager, create donor and prospect fundraising and stewardship emails, including creating email distribution lists and emails in RE NXT.
•Manage Appeals and giving forms for specific emails: Track and report on email and appeal performance for Fund Development team.

OTHER
•Attend Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas functions and events as requested, including the Women of Distinction Luncheon and other fundraising events.
•Must maintain confidentiality when dealing with donors and gifts.
•Performs other duties, as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing all aspects of donor data, including financial reconciliation.
•Expert knowledge of CRM systems is required, experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT, Looker or Salesforce a plus.
•Ability to ensure accurate data entry and donor stewardship activities with 100% accuracy.
•Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and colleagues.
•Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively and efficiently under deadlines.
•Comprehensive knowledge of research methods and fundraising and donor data analysis.
•Proven track-record of developing and implementing strategies for growth, closing gifts and managing relationships
•Exceptional oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Office 360, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel.
•Must be able to work with partners, donors, Board members, staff and volunteers in a discreet and professional manner.
•Requires ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in timely, composed and organized manner.
•Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect, and professionalism to coworkers, volunteers served by this council, and others with whom their job puts them in contact.
•Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

•Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers’ license and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.
•Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary.
