About GRT Avionics:
GRT Avionics is a leading manufacturer of innovative glass panel displays and electronic flight instrumentation systems for experimental aircraft. We're seeking a dedicated Technical Support Engineer to join our team and help our customers successfully install and operate their GRT Avionics systems.
Position Overview:
Provide expert technical support via phone and email to customers, dealers, and installers working with GRT Avionics products. Help diagnose installation issues, troubleshoot system problems, and guide customers through proper setup and configuration procedures. This is a Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm position with excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support via phone and email to customers experiencing installation or operational issues
  • Diagnose problems with GRT Avionics systems and guide customers through solutions
  • Assist with wiring troubleshooting and electrical system integration
  • Assembly and testing of new equipment
  • Circuit board repair and component-level troubleshooting
  • Document customer issues and solutions to build knowledge base
  • Collaborate with engineering team on product improvements based on customer feedback
  • Attend airshows and industry events to demonstrate products and support sales efforts (typically 2-3 times annually, subject to change)
Requirements:
  • Strong background in aircraft instrumentation and avionics systems
  • Solid understanding of electrical principles and proper wiring techniques
  • Proficiency with multimeter operation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to customers of varying experience levels
  • Problem-solving mindset with patience for troubleshooting
  • Experience with glass panel avionics systems preferred
  • A&P license or equivalent technical training is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for airshows and industry events
