Marketplace Integrity and Growth delivers impact by sourcing and developing the carrier capacity needed to meet shipper transportation needs predictability, high performance - all while protecting against bad actors and fraud vectors. The scope of this role covers carrier onboarding, carrier management, carrier performance monitoring, risk & fraud-ML models and carrier access restrictions. We're looking for a data-fluent, entrepreneurial Product Manager who thrives in ambiguity and loves building platforms and customer experiences that drive measurable customer and business value.
As the lead Marketplace Integrity and Growth Product Manager, you'll define and deliver critical capabilities to build our carrier network - maximizing active carrier supply while rigorously mitigating risks such as fraud, compliance and suboptimal performance. This includes creating seamless carrier onboarding that balances fraud and liquidity, developing state of the art fraud detection mechanisms, and managing carrier performance. You will partner with AI tools, engineers building at scale, product designers, data scientists, risk/compliance partners, and operations teams to shape the future of products in logistics.
What the candidate will do
  • Product Vision and Strategy: Define a clear product vision and strategy for the team, identifying both short-term and long-term initiatives to create an effective product roadmap.
  • User-Centric Approach: Translate user needs into product requirements by deeply understanding user problems and business opportunities - formulating hypotheses, and articulating desired outcomes
  • Quality & Velocity: Leverage AI throughout research, prototyping & build to deliver high-quality product experiences.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate product plans, tradeoffs, and results to a diverse audience, including internal partner teams, 3rd party partners, executives, end-users, and external customers
  • Innovation: Lead the discovery, development, and adoption of innovative features and experiences improve outcomes for Uber Freight, our customers, and external partners
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Collaborate with a strong team of engineers, designers, data scientists, and user researchers, setting clear team deliverables, defining the roadmap, and driving execution.
  • Cultivate Team Culture: Build and nurture a strong team culture centered around collaboration, execution, and delivering results.

How the candidate will make immediate impact
  • Define and execute strategies for Uber Freight's integrity and liquidity growth products such as carrier onboarding, carrier performance management, fraud prevention, and risk mitigation- balancing short term value with network growth.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and monitor internal metrics to inform product decisions.
  • Obsess in the data and details of defects identified by users, operations teams, and intuition.
  • Ensure the higher ROI opportunities are prioritized, delivered iteratively, and evaluated regularly.
  • Uphold consistent communications with executive leaders to enforce growth strategy and impact quantification.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4+ years of Product Management experience developing and deploying world-class products that scale
  • Strong curiosity for marketplace/network development & AI advancements in the logistics industry.
  • Data-first approach to problem solving (know how to leverage SQL and AI research strategies to pull your own data and insights)
  • Strong customer empathy, and the ability to blend user research with data to create a prioritised product roadmap.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing ML models - ideally for risk and compliance use cases.
  • Strong data analytical skills - with direct experimentation experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Comfortability with presenting to, recommending changes, and pushing back on executive stakeholders.
